"Hachi Eithan – My Way"

An Interactive, Digital Game for 4-6 Year Olds

This game is part of a non-profit, social-educational initiative to highlight social-emotional learning (SEL) and enhance emotional resilience during early childhood. The game was developed jointly by the Hop! Channel of the Hop! Media Group, MindCET of the Center for Educational Technology (CET), the YELADENU (Our Children) initiative of the Sheatufim platform, the Israeli Ministry of Education, and the SEL.IL Center of Reichman University. SEL.IL developed the professional content for the game based on the plots of episodes of the TV program that is the heart of the initiative.

“Hachi Eithan – My Way” is a new experiential game in Hebrew based on the popular Israeli TV program, “Hachi Eithan.” The game is designed for 4-6-year-olds who speak Hebrew.

The game invites children to embark on fascinating journeys to explore emotions, during which they practice resilience skills in a fun, meaningful, and age-appropriate way.

Experiential Journeys from Children’s Emotional World

The game features 15 interactive journeys. Each journey begins with a short story inspired by situations children encounter in their daily lives. These stories are based on storylines and situations presented in the TV series.

At key points throughout each journey, children are asked to decide how the character should act, influencing how the journey progresses.

By playing the game and making choices, children practice coping with emotions, social situations, and challenges in a protected and developmentally stimulating environment.

Independent or Joint Activity

The child can embark upon each journey independently or along with an adult.

The game also facilitates a shared dyadic experience for the child and parent or educator and encourages meaningful emotional discourse.
