SEL.box – The SEL Toolbox

The Toolbox for Measuring and Assessing Different Aspects of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), Tailored to the Israeli Education System’s Distinctive Needs

SEL.box is a joint initiative of the SEL.IL Center at Reichman University and the Faculty of Education at the University of Haifa. SEL.box aims to support SEL development and implementation efforts as well as provide methodological information relevant to different goals, such as mapping and assessing needs, assessing SEL skills of students and educational staff, assessing efficacy of teaching practices and interventions, ongoing monitoring of systemic practices, and more.

Provide a Picture of SEL Skill Mastery

Map the skills of educational staff and students in order to identify pedagogic goals and build programs to promote skills and more

Data-Based Continual Improvement

Relevant, high-quality information to support pedagogic and organizational activities and facilitate data-based decision-making

The conceptual framework that the SEL.IL Center developed serves as the basis of communication between different partners and stakeholders

Gather, analyze, interpret, and use data vital to direct and continually improve development and implementation efforts in the field
